Spend an evening “after hours” at Hobbs State Park with Park Interpreter Trish. Experience the nocturnal sights, sounds and creatures of the forest on this unique exploratory hike. The evening will begin with a lightning bug hunt along the 0.5-mile Van Winkle Trail and a short interpretive program about the nocturnal inhabitants of the park. Then, we will cross over and hike the 0.5-mile Sinking Stream trail. Recommended for age 6+, sturdy footwear and flashlights or headlamps with red lights are recommended. Stroller use during hikes is not recommended. Meet at the Van Winkle Trailhead.
