Friends of Hobbs Speaker Series: Through the Eyes of a Butterfly: Deciphering the Behavior and Perception of Nature’s Most Colorful Pollinators: Butterflies, with their spectacular colors and impressive migrations have long captured the imagination of people from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. In this program, Dr. Erica Westerman from the University of Arkansas will share recent findings about butterfly visual perception and behavior, as well as some of the neural and genetic mechanisms underlying the incredible diversity in their behavior and wing patterns, using both tropical butterflies and butterflies native to Northwest Arkansas.
